View Full Version : Something has crawled in and died...

I should probably add some context to explain the title =P

Last Thursday (13th) I ordered a Xerox XM7-20W monitor from Aria; it arrived on Monday and I opened up the box Tuesday in utter glee in anticipation of finally having a nice monitor. Sadly, this was not to be. Upon hooking it up I discovered that, at some point during the production process, a midge had crawled in behind the glass and deemed it a mighty fine location for its final resting place.

Obviously for me having a dead fly encased in my monitor is not ideal, so I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on what to do on returning the thing? I found the RMA form incredibly confusing and vague, and as a student I can’t really afford to call the many premium rate phone numbers for help lines – I spent all my cash on the monitor lol.

Also the monitor had two dead/stuck pixels straight out of the box, makes a god awful humming noise some of the time (not a normal amount honestly, its REALLY loud) and lists about a centimetre to the left where the stand isn’t affixed to the screen straight, so any help or advice on how I should go about getting a replacement/my money back would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)
