Hi, i know you must get a ton of threads like this but i would really appreciate some advice.

Basically i've decided that i want to have a go at building my own PC from scratch. I want to be able to play upcoming games such as Age of Conan and Warhammer Online on it, aswell as using it for college work etc

My budget is ideally around £700 but if i can do it with less then great (thats not including monitor/keyboard/speakers etc as i will use the ones from this computer)

If anyone could give me a list of components that would be brilliant

Thanks alot

you can change the case or get a bigger HD, also you'll need to buy another sata cable as the mobo only comes with one, i recently baught loada new parts and was without a HD before i could run to town and get one :P

250gb should be fine for what i need it for... This will be my first attempt at building a computer so its sort of a 'new year challenge' i guess :P

:D i just put my new build together with a oddly cheap mobo which i kinda risked (budget build) but it seems to be doing the job, running vista seems fine

Right, just a little update on how I'm getting on with this...

So far I've purchased:

OCZ 600W StealthXStream PSU - #26933
NZXT HUSH Black Silent case - #28590

and

OCZ 2GB PC2-7200 Special Ops (2x1GB) - #24327

I'm now looking at ordering the motherboard... was originally gonna go for the suggested 'ASUS P5K Intel iP35 Socket 775 Motherboard - #27298' however from reading the reviews it seems alot of people have had problems installing OCZ ram onto it.

So do you think I will be fine running the ram I have on that mobo or can you recommend another one which will run my ram guaranteed?

Thanks for the help 8)
