I haven't looked at the vids but one rule is you shouldn't need to force ANYTHING into place, it should only require a small amount of effort to fit plug items in as they will only fit one way and take your time, check things at least twice.

Have fun and if you have any questions please ask, don't feel "stupid" for asking seemingly silly questions and trying to learn something.

first question, the tabs on the back plate for the notherboard. how do i get my mb to sit in them?

The brass motherboard standoffs?file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/Peter/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg http://www.hls-systems.com/HLS-Systems/images/HLS-P4-D850EMV2L/DSCN3330.JPG

You can unscrew the and put them into other holes to fit your motherboard

im on with fitting all the plugs off the psu (stealthxstream) on to the motherboard, but the main power plug has a big plug and a little four plug but the slot on the motherboard is too big for the big plug but if you put the four pin plug next to it it fits but, theres also another four pin socket on the motherboard for power supply. help if that makes sense

As far as i know from the psu you have a 24pin that goes onto the motherboard but it can be a 20 and 4 for some motherboards, you put the two of them on next to each other as you did and the other 4pin i assume is for a HDD power supply?

first question, the tabs on the back plate for the notherboard. how do i get my mb to sit in them?

I assume you men for the "panel" that fits in the case, sometime you need to bend the tabs up slightly and offer the motherboard upto them at an angle then once the tabs are over the ports / connections lay the motherbaord down onto the pillars, which Peter pictured.

The psu connections, as peter pointed out the big power connector is a 20+4 affair (so it fits older motherboards) clip the 20+4 together for the main connector and there should be another 4way square connector (not hdd power these are 4 pin straight connectors) possibly connected to another 4way square connector to make an 8 way connector, make sure you get the correct half of this 8 way connector as only one should fit into the motherboard.

The power and reset buttons don't matter which way round they go as they are just switches, the usb connections are they individual connectors on each wire or a big connector full of wires, if its a big connector they should be "keyed" and only fit on one way as you will see the header on the motherboard will have a pin missing.

well thank you all for your help. I have managed to get it all working except the power light on the front of the case and the extra usb ports on the top so if anyone can tell me how to wire these up that would be great thank you all

Your motherboard manual should have a diagram in it which tells you which pins the case connecters go to.

The power light connection probably needs to be connected up observing the right polarity (-v / +v) because the light is an LED.

The usb port connections will also be detailed in your motherboards manual, and on your motherboard I would expect to see something like 'USB1' and 'USB2' labels next to where the case connections should go.
