If your fed up with the stock music player on Android then why not install winamp for Android. It also allows you to sync your music via usb or wifi too :D

Info taken from here :http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/21/winamp-comes-to-android-one-of-our-childhood-dreams-is-realized/

you know the script now ;)

I installed it yesterday. It's a good program, much prefer it to the stock player.
Sadly, haven't work out how to get the sink working properly. When I first tried WinAmp on my PC stopped responding, then the PC completely froze and as a result the SD card in my Galaxy S became corrupt and needed to be completely re-formatted.
I would advise you use it as a player, because it is very good! But find another method to move your music onto your device. Or at least make a back up of the SD card first.

Well it runs the whole time your phone is so it can remember the last track played etc. and start from where you left it last time. It seems to use ~20mb of RAM the whole time, either playing of just sitting in the back ground.
Having said that, you can always kill it with a task killer should you want to...

Meh, I dont see any problems with the stock SGS music player personally. Choose an album, press play, stick earphones in, away you go.

just waiting for the app to start downloading from the market.

Hmmm this beta version seems to be a battery vampire. not sure what circumstances yet... but was draining batter faster than it was charging!

I'm sure it'll settle down after the beta

Yet the reviews suggest otherwise...
