View Full Version : Backup software?
Hello again folks, at the moment i'm using Windows Vista backup but it doesn't give me any flexibility in configuring how i backup.
I'm looking for some new software, the only stipulation is that it should be VERY user friendly.
Any recommendations please?
Acronis True Image is what i use for all my backups

i use norton ghost, with an external drive as f right now. Works like a charm. And when my hard drive fails all ill need to do is fire n a new one put in there disk and restore it from the external. Less time than installing everything , and setting it all up again.
Really good really handy :)
ghost 15 i have
i had acronis before, it was ok, had a weird problem getting it to fricken boot with my pc, just didnt like it
ACRONIS Home for a personal system all the way - lovely user interface nowadays, and for automation it's great.
Not strictly a backup program, but I use "Allway Sync" to sync files on my fileserver to an external USB drive.
It's free.
It runs nightly (configurable) and only copies stuff that's been updated.
It can sync in both directions (overwriting changes made to original files)
It can ignore sync'ing file deletions on the source drive
It can keep several versions of changed files
It just works, dead easy to set up, advanced options available if you want to tweak :thumb:
Horses for courses ! I use both.
Acronis for backup.
Ghost for full disk sector copy.
Thanks for all the suggestions
