Got this from aria yesterday (Wednesday) and set it up with a Q6600 quad core. All working fine and I then made the mistake of using the gigabyte windows software to flash the bios.

It said it all worked fine and asked to reboot the pc it now just continually loops, starting and then restarting, no beeps, nothing is displayed on the screen.

Is it just a case of resetting the motherboard via the cmos reset or have I knackered my motherboard on the first day of having it?

It shipped with bios f3, so from looking on the gigabyte website the latest bios is a beta one and its f6b.

Any help much appreciated

Does this

http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/FileList/NewTech/2006_motherboard_newtech/how_does_quad_bios_work_dq6.htm

mean that I just need to get an older bios onto a floppy and it will repair itself??

It sounds like that bottable floppy or cd is your main hope.

Have you tried booting with a single stick of memory from your other pc, it might be something stupid like the new bios doesn't sens the memory info or something.

I would be suprised if it is that though.

I would also just try resetting the bios - its worked for me before after a bios flash!
