Well for all of you who dont know me. I build computers for people. Its not a full time job, I just do it as a hobby. I dont have any qualifications in computing or computer related subjects except Admin and Information Systems. If you would like to have a nice long laugh, heres your chance. Read my system specification. You will enjoy it :)

Heh, does a 600w and 750w psu seem a bit overpowered for both those systems? And what GPU are you using to play ET:QW?

Not QW, Just Enemy Territory on PC. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Free game. Just using the GeForce. It is overpowered but just means theres more there for if I need it. :)
AHahhaha 5200 128 thats amazing!
That above build your doing I would make it an intel system with a e2160 cpu or similiar. A lot more bang for buck.

 Almost as bad as my current, I'd go for an intel dual core over an AMD though, especially early next year, the prices will drop ever more i assume
yeah when penryn comes out the core 2 duo's will drop
But who will want one when the other chip comes out?:S
yeah lol, the new chips will be muchos costos though
I thought I heard that the expected launch prices wouldnt be too high.. something like the Q9450 would be around the £160-£180 mark.. Which would be awesome! :)
It was only 18 months agao i was told to ditch my P4 3.06 for an AMD X64 4000+
How times change:cry:
Also only 12 months agao that the 7800GTX was THE card to have:|
Only 12 months ago my camera cost £200, now its 100 =/
Entry Penryn should be as low as £120, bang for buck Penryn £150.
THe Q6600 should fall to £75ish I reckon.
Q9450 *drools like homer*

Would be brilliant if the Q9450 was £150 :D
Thats the planned price and looking at the Clock Freq on the $1499 and $1399 ones 3.2 Ghz i'm planning to get my soon to be Q9450 to those speeds http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/thumbsup.gif Saving me a sultry $1183 http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/food-smiley-005.gif
How do you know £150 is the planned price?
Based on the above screenshot I asked Googlecat.

Now we know thats not how it works though.... this is rip of britain remember.
usually works out like $330 = £330, they usually just swap the dollar sign for a sterling sign.
Ive got me a Easyjet flight booked to the USA already then http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/thumbsup.gif
Strength of the £ to the $ means shipping one over might be a good option.
As long as you didnt get stung for import tax at customs...
Stick it in the suitcase and don't declare it lol
Or you could get relatives out in the USA to ship it accross as a $15 gift! LOL

Or just get the guy you buy it on ebay off to label it as a gift?

How many times... MS Flight Sim isnt real life!! ;)
Uk prices are currently better than US on CPUS! So I reckon the £150 Q9350 Penryn price tag is looking hopeful
