Heh, does a 600w and 750w psu seem a bit overpowered for both those systems? And what GPU are you using to play ET:QW?

Matthew092009
05-12-07, 15:28
Not QW, Just Enemy Territory on PC. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Free game. Just using the GeForce. It is overpowered but just means theres more there for if I need it. :)

AHahhaha 5200 128 thats amazing!

That above build your doing I would make it an intel system with a e2160 cpu or similiar. A lot more bang for buck.

 Almost as bad as my current, I'd go for an intel dual core over an AMD though, especially early next year, the prices will drop ever more i assume

I thought I heard that the expected launch prices wouldnt be too high.. something like the Q9450 would be around the £160-£180 mark.. Which would be awesome! :)

Entry Penryn should be as low as £120, bang for buck Penryn £150.

THe Q6600 should fall to £75ish I reckon.

Now we know thats not how it works though.... this is rip of britain remember.

usually works out like $330 = £330, they usually just swap the dollar sign for a sterling sign.

Strength of the £ to the $ means shipping one over might be a good option.

Uk prices are currently better than US on CPUS! So I reckon the £150 Q9350 Penryn price tag is looking hopeful
