Anyone know a good software I can get for free to design business cards? Ive used gimp and paint but cant work out an efficient way to make full use of the paper im using to print. Also my new printer can print both sides at the same time so it would be useful if I could design a reverse side for my business cards.

I bet it would work out cheaper to use one of these online jobbies...500 card for £3.99 sort of thing.... lol..

When I worked in PR for work experience I was part of the graphics team.

We used Photoshop (or another program of choice) to design, we'd then slap the images onto Quark Xpress.

Quark does double sided printing.

Yes well I thought that too until I designed the whole damn things on some of them websites and find out that theres a tonne of catches to the original advertised price. Example , delivery costs are about twice that! then if you want certain paper its big jump in price and then double sided extra £20 whatever. Might as well do myself and then i can always print em when i need.

Fair point....gotta check every avenue ...to save some readies lol..
