Hello everyone. Ive been thinking of years to build myself a decent gaming pc but i have not got a clue where to start. I want to build it from scratch and im after something abit special. I have a budget of from £600-£1000 but that has to include everything down to the keyboard and mouse. I will be usinng it for games, internet, music and id like to be able to use my xbox 360 on the moniter. One last thing it will have to able to link up to my wireless router. I will be putting it together with help from a friend so any help will be great thank you

That does not include a keyboard or mouse but you can apply for the finance option where you dont have to pay for 9 months i think it is and you can get a good keyboard and mouse then. :-)

ok if you want a gaming pc for £600 i dont tihnk your going to get a good one if it has to include keyboard, mouse, speakers, XP etc.. I mean for just the monitor, xp, keyboard, mouse, speakers thats nearly £300 so your asking really for a £300 gaming pc and really it just can not be done.

Hmmmm Vista personlly i dont think its good, im waiting till they have like a SP1 and then IF and only IF there are some good reviews and not any problems then and only then would i ever consider installing Vista, but at the moment id give it a miss.

the motherboard has a Realtek ALC662, 6-CH High-Definition Audio CODEC so you just plug it in and it will be fine.

As long as you have new hardware and no legacy software everything is pretty much fine on vista. Some users have had some real problems though with compatibility...a lot can be solved but most of the people who review these kind of things like to complain a lot anyway...so they do...

Personally I wouldnt go back to XP from Vista...but I do have XP in virtual machine for testing sites on IE6...

Or just go for ubuntu  or another linux distro...but not so hot on the games front.
