Try Acronis True Image... Its not free, but they do offer a 30 day trial. If you download it and install it and do everything you need within those 30 days, then you're good to go :)

Yes True Image is about the best, or there's a few free ones on The Ultimate Boot CD (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) and on Hirens (http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd).

Ive tried quite a few as i do lots of images at work.
You could all so try clonezilla
http://clonezilla.org/ its free.

If you use hirens it does contain pirated software on there so be warned but it should contain norton ghost, i use that quite often very good and easy to use.
Even they have a free trial themselves
http://us.norton.com/downloads/trialsoftware/register.jsp?pvid=ghost15

have a look

I had major issues cloning a drive with Acronis.

On an HP laptop it locked up during post with a drive cloned with acronis, wouldn't even allow you into the bios!

Had to use Symantec Ghost in the end...

TBH I wonder whether that would've been the ACRONIS that caused that kind of lockup.

Try the drive manufacturer's site.
Acronis based drive management comes free, and can be used with some drives. (WD, Seagate, Maxtor). Just download if you have one of those - just having one in the machine is enough.

Sure was, the system wouldn't boot (tried 3 or 4 different drives).

Had to Zero fill the boot sector to get past the bios.

If its HDD-HDD then try EASEUS Partition.
If its HDD-SDD then it HAS to be Acronis True Image. (my experience with XP, may not apply to Win7)
