Does anyone know of any good sound editing software for the mac that i could download ;) also what is the best paint package out for the mac?

Sony Sound Forge for Sound

and

Is Photoshop or Paintshop Pro avilable for Mac, if it is then use that.

if i was you i would get Photoshop rather than paintshop pro.

What do you want to do? Edit single audio tracks, create your own, record a whole band using multi tracks, etc etc..

Logic Pro 8 - the only thing you should really use for sound editing if your a expert

don't know any for free download though

Also for the min i just want to edit an cut tracks down really!
What it is im making small videos and then putting music over them so really abit of software that can do both.

he he yes its me asking a question thats not a daft one lol

I have loads of riding clips and my mate wants me to put them together and put music over them!
Also he want me to do a music video for his band just something simple for myspace really.

If you are just slicing up tracks, then something like Audacity would do the job - and its completely freeware so you would be legal too.


Another one to consider, which has some sort of video capability too, would be Adobe Audition.

Or why not get something like Sony Vegas - Video editing program, that I think can do basic audio editing too.

Sony Vegas is mainly for Video Editing as i use it alot, but yes it is ok for Music aswell. But use Sony Sound Forged as thats good for sound editing etc..

I did see Audacity before an was thinking of downloading it when i get home but will do now and give it a go.

Yeah, I use Vegas alot too. Its not the most comprehensive for sound editing, but it'll do the job for just slicing and fading tracks etc...

Vegas 8 is all i have used. Although, you're on a mac, GarageBand and iLife?

Yes as in bike riding, jumping off daft stuff and nearly killing myself and stuff like that lol

Will do but its going to be a bit yet as the chap thats got the clips is moving house this weekend so need to wait for him to get sorted and find there he has them lol
