I've been working it out, I currently have £160.

If I sell my current (E5300) rig for £120 I'll have £280
Include my Dell P2210H for £120 I'll have £400
If I could get £75 for my Lian Li that would give me £475
Plus £80 for my HD 5770 gives me £555.

Which means I could afford Hyday's DFI board, a CM 690 II Advanced as well as:

Along with:

However, I'm curious as to whether 3D is really worth it.

I saw How to train your dragon at the IMAX and it was awesome however Toy Story 3 was a massive disappointment.

So guys and gals, is nVidia 3D vision worth the money?

Apparently you can judge corners better on driving games in 3D. Are you a F1 2010 and Gran Turismo fan :D ?

I am actually, but this monitor doesn't work on the PS3 does it - you need one of the big £2billion ones.

Well not sure mate you know 3D halfs the fps at the very minimum, so not sure a 460 would have enough grunt for decent gameplay.

It would do wouldn't it? Medium - High most games. The GTX 470 can do Metro 2033 at High in 3D.

I'd upgrade to a GTX 470 or something later on, or get a sandy bridge system and SLI the 460.

Hmmm I wouldnt recommend just one 460, I would say a 480 or 460 SLI minimum.

Sorted.

Same as before, low/medium settings until Christmas.

Ask for another GTX 460 for christmas, problem solved.

Well SLI 460's about 20-30% better than single 480, so going sli would be my recommendation :thumb:.
