The list of laptops sold goes from being budget end stuff from £280 - £430

then jumps up all the way to nearly a grand.

Any chance of getting a few models that fill whats nearly a £500 price gap, for when you want better than a budget model, but cant afford to blow a grand on a laptop?

Its running vista, and its only got 1Gb of memory,

I tried that with my current desktop, and found vista truly sucks when run with 1Gb, you need at least 2Gb, or preferably 4Gb

Simple and cheap to fix

install

and then install XP.

99% of laptops ship with Vista now.

Not sure, would be the same standard as any laptop battery though.

Its an Acer Entensa which gets supurb reviews so it should be equal to or above the norm.

good choice! Did you get an extra stick of the memory too?

2x1Gb sticks, not sure how many memory slots there are, (I heard some laptops only have 2 Slots, so either way, I'll have at least 2Gb, hopefully 3Gb)
