I'm not buying it yet, but I need kind of a clear idea on what i'm looking at, and with laptops i really have no idea.
I was kind of thinking about getting this :

Removed link to a competitors web site

(the most expensive one)

What do you think?

Best starting point is to tell us what you want to use the laptop for, then your budget :)

Assuming its dell, dont get one.

They are terrible. If you get a generic charger they refuse to charge the battery so dell can sell you one for £59786, and they now make weird hex shaped ends so you cant even fit one it. On top of that a replacement screen will cost you loads as they are not standard.

It's a Toshiba, and I love it. Boots in 25 seconds :thumb:

You can upgrade the RAM easily by unscrewing a panel on the back and sliding in the new ram it's a single 2GB stick which makes it cheap to upgrade too, but I've found 2GB to be enough :) ebay would be the place to look for 2GB RAM...about £20.

It's a Toshiba Satellite Pro L650-165...GO GO GO :D

Sean Im on a Dell laptop now (in fact all our work laptops and desktops are Dell) - solid as anything and covered by a 3 year next day on site cover should anything actually go wrong (which was very cheap to add as well), also bought a replacement/spare charger off ebay for about £15 and it works with no problems at all.

I would have no issues recommending Dell laptops.
