I have to admit, i kind of considered it a bit of a waste of time at first, but there's been a couple of times, especially on this PC of my old mans, which is switched off all the time when not in use, that i have wanted to quickly check lottery stuff, or update my purchases.... or just do something really quick, and then shut it down again ... can't fault it on this, really handy, and it shuts down as fast as it starts which is a bonus, limited number of applications/tools is a little restrictive, but it's not meant as a full time OS... it's kind of how an OS should be, an interface between user and machine, not trying to be too smart or interfere all the time :lol:

That's quite good, I was going to get that case but I was put off by the amount of fans as I wanted a quiet system, how is the noise in your opinion?

thanks mate :), the case is fantastic and the fans are not really loud to be honest with you, i keep them all at low settings and the noise is hardly noticeable. especially when your playing games or just watching a film or whatever. medium speed, ok its noticeable but i very rarely put it on medium speed, and max speed is just too loud :|, the only time you would have to put the fans on max would be overclocking IMO. the cable management is fantastic also and there is plenty of room :), highly recommended and money well spent :D

considering i put that together for him i have to tell you that the vapouor x 5870 is only 10.5" (0.5" shorter than reference 5870 afaik? 11") the lian li pc50 isnt very deep and has hardly any space on the inside

could do with sean's help with the cabling in that as it is worse than the osiris ;D

Upgraded system plus a fair few mods on my Antec 900.

Cut out alot of Cable Management holes, spray painted the case Satin Black, Sleeved alot of Cables, and installed a watercooling loop.

Loop is currently running a Q6600 at 3.5GHz. 39C Idle, 49C Full Load, not bad for a Hot Day.

I only run Aquamark and a few runs of super pi (100 % stable). It was just for fun, At some stage i will position the rad right next to the pc and make a funnel coming of the air con unit (so it cools everything better). More volts doesn't always give more Mhz

it is a custom made fan mount/vent to supply cool air directly to my cpu cooler. the front leds are off because theyre way too bright when theyre on. and i need to cover it with some mesh as well as clean out my heatsink but i think i will do that early next week when i do some thermal paste tests.

had a 5770 got offered a directCu for £200 a day before launch so i got it then got got scammed out of £150 and a i7 860 and needed money so i sold the 5850 got a 5770 and the rest went on what i needed the money for. now i am having driver problems with my 5770 and getting a GTX 460 :P
