Remote Desktop ports?

So i changed my remote desktop port on my server and also in my router settings but now it wont connect:mad:

I also cant seem to be able to connect to it on the same network using the internet IP (Not the local one)

What have i done?

OK So Server IP: 192.168.1.100
In my router i have set incoming port 33XX to point to the server IP.
On the server i have changed the remote listen port to the same as above 33XX
I have made a new firewall exception on my server to allow connections on 33XX.

Why is it not working?:confused:

Ok i think ive got it. Still not able to get to the remote using my external ip when im on the same network but if i use another newtwork its ok.

Do i need to open the outbound port?:confused:

You cannot use your external conection from inside, if that makes sense.

Really? I thought i was using it before i changed the port!

Maybe not, Oh well. At least its working from outside now!
