Fiiiiirrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Some shots from my phone when i was burning some garden waste and a wooden chair that was broken.

Almost burnt my hand getting this close

It was very very hot, burnt a piece of bread to black in about 4 seconds lol

images are in order of when i took them, you can see how things that were mostly black became the white associated with really high heat :)

lol i admit my phone camera isnt the best

but in the 5 or so seconds it took to take each picture

my phone picked up an appreciable level of heat

so i wouldnt want to get anything more valuable close to it lol

You say it was really hot... but... could it melt glass?

Me and a mate managed to build a fire which was able to melt glass. Anyone up for a challenge? It was a wood fire, by the way.

Either way, nice one! I do love a bit of pyromania... :)

bearing in mind i only had access to fast burning garden waste

and the remains of a dead chair

given some more wood and some more time :)

id take that challenge :L :)

I've got a massive wood burner at work. It can take half pallets in one go of you could get them through the door.
It's got a fan at the back that pushes air into the system as it can't suck enough in on it's own.
This fan tripped out (wrong rcd setting) when we first got it and the cabinet was getting hot. So hot that the paint on the outside was starting to melt and the metal was being distorted!
I will take some pics when I start it up for the first time this year, not long to go now:(

You should take pictures of fire when all the lights are off and it's night time.
They always produce super nice photos.

Campfires on Dartmoor are the bestest... find as many dead logs you can drag to your site, couple of big rock to pivot them on, cross the ends and start your fire underneath - every time you burn through smash off the end cinders and move them on a bit - set for the evening...ah I love going home after a camping weekend honking like a gypsy :)
