its rubbish, theres a £120 LED 1080P one, looks alot better and it wont consume as much, only for £20 odd more, il be getting it this week too.

Yeah I agree you'll get a lot more for your money if you go for the LED one - thats why I bought a much higher specd one a couple of weeks ago.. But he asked for the cheapest ;)
I recommend this one:

Hardly the same at all AMDOverclocker - did you even check the specs ?
LG : 30000:1 Contrast Ratio
BENQ : Contrast Ratio: 5000000:1 (and no doubt better in other areas such as viewing angle etc)
Stick to the OP's question :)
I have the LG E2240T 22" LED Monitor (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Monitors/22+Inch+LCD/LG+E2240T+22%22+Widescreen+LED+Monitor+-+Black+?productId=41115) and id recommend it to anyone! with a bit of a play with the settings its definately a contender (was too bright for me at stock settings)

No one in their right mind will do that.
Most people here want value for money. This usually rules out the cheapest when you want something like a monitor.
People also like to know what you want to use the monitor for. If it is for playing games, then the idea of going for the cheapest is even more bonkers.
You also need to consider what inputs/outputs you're going for. My Dell SP2309W takes DVI, analog and HDMI seperately, has four USB and is higher than FullHD (not entirely sure how thats possible but heyho)
You wont get that with a cheapo and mine is far from top-end. I paid 180 delivered and id pay it again now for the same thing.

are you mad? they measure the contrast ratio in different ways, there both 1000:1 :p ( think)
Your eyes only really see 1000:1, LED backlit do give better contrast inherintly.

Is that BenQ monitor essentially a smaller version of the 24 inch £150 set on the site?
