Hey all,

Lately I have been receiving BSODs nearly everytime I log onto my computer since the start of summer and occurs about every 20 minutes. Most BSODs are as follows: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, BAD_POOL_CALLER, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and BAD_POOL_HEADER which leads me to think the RAM is at fault.

The BSODs occur no matter what my PC is doing, whether idling or loading games. I tested my RAM in dual channel with memtest86+ for one pass and it came up with 357632 errors and in 10 minutes of the 2nd pass, 60416 errors. However, testing each one individually, I get no errors on either RAM.

The timing is set at 5-6-6-18 at 2.128V which is what Corsair has specified it at. I've got the RMA code from Aria but I was wondering if there are any other methods to test my RAM or should I just go ahead and send them to Aria and hope that these errors are present when they are in dual channel so I can get a replacement :p

My system spec is:
CPU: Intel E8400 3GHz Core Duo
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4
Corsair XMS2 4GB (2X2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (https://www.aria.co.uk/Products?search=MEM-II1066-TX24G-C5C)
GFX: Nvidia 8800GTS 512MB
PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 600W

well the mem is designed to run in duel channel mode so that's how it should be tested and memtest is about as good as its gets id just send it back to aria not much more you can do from your end

the only thing you can really do is test the memory in another pc with memtest to rule out the motherboard you have

but RMA to ARIA will be just as good as they will no doubt memtest the Ram in a test machine

BAD_POOL_HEADER

This one is caused by bad filters from your DVD-ROM , i had this when i installed Snakedoc's 5770 - it's a simple case of removing the DVD-ROM filters in the registry & it gets rid of that one.

Doesn't get rid of them all - but it's a start?

I've RMA'd it back to Aria. Tried testing the ram on another computer in the house but it severely underclocked the ram and I couldn't compare the results.
I currently have another pair of ram in my system and no errors were found in memtest86+ so I assume it's not my motherboard.

Thanks for the responses guys.
