Did You Know Microsoft Are Releasing Windows XP SP3??
They already have....
Its called vista...

XP SP3 will work with games!

SP3 for Windows XP Professional is currently planned for 1H CY2008. This date is preliminary.

I mean if microsoft are not allowing any new licences for XP then its obvious their concentrating on Vista and hence SP3 will be a upgrade which fills my neat and tidy hard drive with utter drivel.

well there will be when you install SP3.
Yeah, its just going to break XP, and then it'll become unsupported, and force everyone to buy Vista to fix the things that SP3 broke.

.. but, I have to say. Windows Vista Isn't all bad.
I've had it for about 4months now, and ive no problems, and my games are running as good as ever... Crysis Demo, Company Of Heroes, Bioshock & Airborne.
so all the games that were designed to work with vista 8)

I'll add Footie manager, CS & Stalker to that list then. i must admit i've not had any probs with Vista either.

The situation is definitely improving - the only reason I had driver problems in Vista was bewcause I was using 64bit...
But then I've always been something of a pariah...

What OS do you use?
XP. Theres already been two service packs yet MS have discovered another 1073 things wrong with it.
What i'm trying to get at is that i'm sick to death of developers producing software that hasn't been QA tested properly. Its not just MS to be fair, its most things what are coming out. People are more concerned about release dates than getting it right.

I think that the 1073 patches includes all the ones from SP1 and 2 - it's gonna be installable without needing SP1 or 2 already there...
But the fact you use XP does fly in the face of your argument that "everything Microsoft creates is useless."
I question Linux users who says it's got less bugs - there are updates almost DAILY and a million different distros with different bugs and methodologies - at least Microsoft makes things easy...

Not really, I use it because realistically theres nothing else in the market thats good.
I'd love a Mac but as someone has shown in another thread, there having all sorts of security issues with the new OS
