You know the site Tv-Links.co.uk where you could watch tv stuff online etc.. well he got arrested for copyright and his site closed.
I used to go on this alot and watch stuff.

Well they can't afford to sue the companies that are actually hosting the videos linked to (youTube, Google, Yahoo etc.), so they have to go after the little guys that are finding the illegal material.
Its like busting a drug addict but ignoring the dealer.
yea but i dont get it, its 100% legal to post links to where the videos are. So i dont get why he was arrested and his site was taken down. I mean theres bigger problems out there like Warez forums.

He's being charged with the facilitation of copyright theft.
But this means what he was linking to is illegal, this is stuff hosted on youTube for example, so if he's guilty then youTube is guilty. Will they be prosecuted? NOPE!
They have enough money to buy expensive clever lawyers to bury any prosecution in enough paperwork to last them into retirement. If this guy is found guilty, and nothing is done against the actual hosts, it will prove that you can be rich enough to be above the law.
