Running Scans

Hi, before I go to sleep, I run a malware scan with a scheduled antivirus scan in the middle of the night. However, because Windows 7 seems to go into sleep mode (which is good as the comp is quiet), the scans do not run. It would be far more useful if the scans would run regardless of sleep mode i.e. wake up the computer at the right time.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

P.S. In Pwr management, I have wake timers enabled, which should mean that the antivirus is activated at the scheduled time, but, when I tried this it didn't work.

Set you scans off before you go to bed and set sleep timers to activate once complete. Timing will be everything. I dont scan unless I feel like I have been violated. I tend not to have any trouble, only when my son searches for cheats for his xbox games. I think the last virus I had was in 1995.
