Random one, this.

Basically I've done extreme CPR on my laptop and managed to revive it from very-near death. It's a bit hobbly but I've managed to install Dreamspark Server R2 x64 and as I write, SP1 beta is slowly installing on an ancient 80GB SATA HDD. I'm also "reconfiguring" it to become like Win7.

However, I can't seem to install the drivers for my Mobility Radeon HD3650 - it's just stuck with the standard VGA drivers, so I can't go above 1152x864, which is quite annoying on a native 1440x900 display.

I've downloaded the Catalyst Mobility installer, and it pulled 10.8 as the latest drivers, but when I try and install all it does is CCC and not the actual drivers. Got a bit of time to kill while SP1 installs, so any ideas? A quick Google hasn't come up with any hits.

Cheers.

Don't have a spare license atm/not interested in putting on the 90 day Technet trial, but I do have a Dreamspark Server 2008 R2 one.

Solved it.

Downloaded the original Vista x64 driver from the Dell website, which runs as an exe, and on verifying the laptop is a Studio 1735 it force-installs the graphics driver. Am now updating to 10.8 :)

EDIT - Update failed, stuck with 2 year old drivers :/ ah well, better than nowt.
