Hello, I have a recommendation.

Why not sell apple products like the Macbook and Macbook Pro, I mac etc and the new Mac OS X 10.5? Theses are fast becoming popular i believe.

Just an idea,

Thanks

Good idea too i believe, with the ammount of people owing apple computers growing every day, it'd be a wise choice!

How about you just sell apples instead?
Bananas, oranges, grapes - maybe us "VDU Users" could do with more fruit and less Red Bull...

Apple do make good looking heated slabs of plasic tho, and they make your infertile do to their heat, posing a new slogan, "an apple a day keeps the babies away"

I have a Macbook and i love it, its only the cheapest they sell but by far better that any Windows PC/Laptop. The only reason i would ever go back to a normal PC is for the games as the Mac is s**t for that. For everything else the Mac is just brill for.

Apart from image resizing :P
Have you seen 2142 for the mac?

The new OS for mac came out yesterday, has anyone tried it out? I hear from one of my friends working at the arndale apple store that it's a very swish piece of software.

Oh and in my opinion, apple has been very clever releasing the new ipod on similar firmware as the iPhone, as us dirty students and many others in the US will simply buy one and hack it for voip. if i were in a completely wireless city (of wait i am, oxford road is wireless) then i'd be hacking the hell out of that brick!

well at least it keep those wannabe 1337 gamers happy now that they have somewhere to go for a half decent gaming rig with non of the hassle of having to look up how to make one

Still wouldnt buy a mac, so pretentious... Oh look at my glossy white case thats gonna get ruined with grubby fingerprints and costs more than a normal pc and has less functionality and software...

cleggypdc
28-10-07, 11:02
I do agree with the overpricing. its a bit like what sony do. but why does its have less functionality? they run on the same architecture as normal pc's, they have the same hardware, you can put windows on them, the new OS came out yesterday with many features Vista doesn't have. The only problem i find is the single mouse button, drives me mad!

look at my glossy white case thats gonna get ruined with grubby fingerprints

and i tend to wash my hands :P

I take it Lynx doesn't like Apple lol, your not gunna sway his opinion cleggy :P

cleggypdc
28-10-07, 11:10
I'm not trying to convert him Amie lol, I'm just informing him that Mac's have exactly the same functionality as PCs, they are essentially PCs now just different software, and since Mac is based on unix there is limitless capability in the new OS, a lot more than in Vista's 'friendly' User Interface.

Lynx
28-10-07, 13:21
Macs, have copied windows, theyve gone to a unix system because they know a mac architecture limits them, they also are adopting the pc hardware too, c2d is a pc item, that mac procured because they knew that their G5 was not upto scratch,. Vista is very user friendly, with everything asking if you want to do something and is now more secure than OSX, but 10.5 doesnt 'beat' vista by much on engadget.com... Shouldnt at all if you look at the scores.

cleggypdc
28-10-07, 14:02
It's true that powerpc's architecture was lagging behind and thats why they switched to Intel, MacOS X is based on unix and has been since its release in 1999. There is copying done on both sides.

Vista is a great OS, but lacks in features for more advanced users. I found myself having to copy telnet from XP. The console on vista is limited. However there are some very nice shortcut features for when i feel lazy.

I just find that with macs, you can literally do anything you want, and now they run on the same architecture as normal pc's the gap between Apple and Microsoft has been bridged. Even old mac software still works on the new macs (thankyou manchester university).

Heres my opinion.

I would love to have Mac OS X, and windows Vista Dual Boot On My Computer...

And A Bet Others Would Too. There Has To be profit in this for Aria as well, because Comet are selling it for £80 !!!

11-11-07, 10:03

Aaron
11-11-07, 22:39
Don't they run almost everything by running WindowsXP in a window?

You know the handles on the MAC PRO, guess wot there for, so you can attach a chain, and use it as a boat anchor!
