dont be put off by the 800 mhz cpu its a dual core snapdragon variant that's faster than current android phones
worst thing about these android phones is mine Nexus One is 6 months old now but i gotta pine over all the new gear for 6 months before i can get a new one.. not that i dont totally adore my phone but the new ones come so thick and fast..

I hate the way they have rearranged the android buttons from the standard back, menu, home, search order specced by google but I love acer laptops and its great to see them get in the android scene im guessing this will be a great phone.

it doesnt say on the article but i have heard from a reliable source it has 5,1 mp camera can do 720p video etc, and even has HDMI and 720p output so you could cart movies around on this puppy and get some crazy peripherals like one of those tiny projectors. Imagine projecting a HD movie somewhere unusual like on the train.

it will come in october with android 2.2 but by then 3.0 will be out or very close..

it also has bluetooth 3.0 which is something i have no idea about..

Going off that link.. its not dual core, its just a 1ghz snapdragon underclocked to 800mhz...
I was all excited at the idea of a dual core phone.

Its definatly not a snapdragon its the scorpion

its really unclear if the qualcom scorpion is dual core or not its dual wafer and has seperate CPU "superscaler cpu core" and a graphics core called a "venum multimedia engine core" and its uber powerful at does amazing graphics

Is that dual core i dont know it doesnt have 2 cpu wafers but it does have 2 processors

What will be the difference between android 2.2 and 3.0? And will you be able to upgrade the OS on these phones like you can on the iPhone etc?

Google wont confirm anything so I dont know all the differences but the main difference is that 3.0 can handly much bigger resolutions so it will make better tablets.. it has a custom UI a bit like HTC sense ui
you can change icon sizes and resolutions. 5.1 sound is supported and yes you can upgrade just about any android device yourself much easier than the Iphone Ios with it compulsary updates.. you can root (jailbreak) any android phone and pick which android you want very easily and they are not really that bothered if you do.
