OK, so you have read all about the N460GTX Cyclone, love the cooler but cant afford the price. There is a lower cost alternative which has launched today called the N450GTS Cyclone OC.

The card is similar to the GTX460 but with lower clock speeds. The 'Cyclone OC' version comes pre-overclocked out of the box with 850MHz Core( reference is 783MHz) and 1700MHz shader (1566MHz is reference). Memory is clocked at 4000Mhz.

As with the other cyclones, the 9cm cooler has low rpm and low noise, whilst still remaining more efficient than the reference cooler. Therefore further OC potential on air is a fair possibility, but it still early days.

For some nice images of the new cards, see:

How is the noise of the fan? Looks like it could be SUPER-OVERCLOCKED :D but SUPER-NOISY :( ?

Agreed its a pretty good price. However you can save yourself £5 by pressing one button in afterburner: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/ :clap

Its the same cooler off the GTX460 so i'd think very quiet as mine is, maybe quieter as it has less heat to deal with.

Also the stock cooling doesn't dump the hot air into the case like the cyclone does, doesn't fill up with dust either.

Don't get me wrong i think £105 is a decent price for an Overclocked card with a different cooler, just the EVGA would get my vote as well.

Interesting to hear, although I think you will agree that with good airflow having no exhaust fan should not be a problem in the majority of setups, therefore the key benefit for the EVGA is a high OC out the box? I do however think with little effort the same OC can be achieved on the cyclone card, but time will tell.

If the first review is anything to go buy, this will certainly be the case:

"With a little effort we were able to get the card stable at 935 mhz on the core and 1075mhz on the memory, an 85mhz and 75mhz increase respectively."

Over 50MHz higher than EVGA...

As could it with the EVGA.
You'd expect the EVGA cards "on average" have better clocking cores.

Regardless, the price edges too close to a GTX460 for my liking.

+1 personally with the 786mb price at £123 the GTS450 is a no for me, i'd rather get the 460 for a little more.

im getting a 403 error on the review at kitguru.

idk, as good as these look when you can get a 460 for a little more than the 450 i cant see them selling in big numbers till they drop bellow £100.
