View Full Version : Pendulum
I've always loved Pendulum since I was in year 10 (4 years ago) but I've never actually seen them live. I saw the BBC highlights of them at Reading/Leeds this year, and well...I've already booked my tickets to see them in Manchester in December :D :D
Just wanted to see who's heard of them (the youngens more likely) and whos seen them live?!
Just a couple of videos for people who don't know what they're about :P
This is two songs (part 1 & 2) I prefer part 2 which starts 6mins 10seconds

Yeah, I quite like pendulum. Im not really into that sort of music, but I will happily listen to them!
Kind of an update Prodigy, i think my girlfiend has seen them.
Much prefer Hadouken myself.

As you can probably tell I'm pretty excited
Pendulum have produced several of my top 20 songs. I personally love The Tempest, Witchcraft, Hold Your Colour, The Other Side and Propane Nightmares, all amazing songs. I haven't seen them yet, will get round to it one day. Am jealous lol XD
One of my friends saw them a couple of months back in Leeds, said they were brilliant. They tend to not perform too many of their well known tracks, iirc they like to try out new stuff and remixes. They did a remix of "Ready for the Weekend" (Calvin Harris) live which I've seen on YT, was really well done.
At Leeds festival this year they did all their awesome songs.
Salt In The Wounds
Granite
The Vulture
Slam
Witchcraft
The Island
Tarantula
Propane Nightmares
Blood Sugar
Watercolour
I've seen the Ready for the Weekend remix at Glastonbury. I would have loved to have been there, the crowd just goes MENTAL
I did like a few of their songs, but I got annoyed at the fact they've got pretty much the same drumbeat in every song.

i would have loved to have went to see Pendulum and Hadouken :(, Braehead sold out in like minutes :(
as above really i fell in love with their second album but fell out of love with their third and forth.
i would love to see them but i would be very scared to be in the crowds as i know they can get a bit violent.
Saw them the other month when they where supporting the prodigy at milton keynes...
Now want to see them again...
The older users on here probably haven't, but everybody needs to get their rave on every so often ;)

I love the slam video
hmmm, I'd say 30+ fair?
Yeah ok - fair for another 18months anyway.. Then we might have to start bumping it up a bit.. ;)

I'm 29 and used to go see Pendulum on and before the first album (when they largely DJed rather than did the live gigs). Personally it went down hill from then on so I would now see them more as a guilty pleasure than a decent outfit. If you like your DnB fairly heavy and dark check out some of the old Bad Company albums :thumb:
Oh and I would say Hadouken are probably closer to the Prodigy, but neither get anywhere near touching distance.
jungle sound! (8) Wahhhhhhhhhh PENDULUM! (8) breakbeat chaos :P
i LOVE pendulum ;)
Went to The Birdcage in Manchester last night, they played Pendulum - Watercolour and The Prodigy - Out of Space :thumb:
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know good songs to play in a club  I've never heard them play it anywhere else
