bloody nothing, it's cold, you slip on ur backside and end up looking like a fool, u spend loads of money on heating, and it gets dark bloody early.
other than that it's great.

I slipped on ice a few years back going to college. ended up breaking the lower end of my Coccyx. Incredibly not amusing, except to everyone else of course
I don't enjoy the cycle ride to work. Especially as I have no gloves right now so my fingers actually start to stick to the cold aluminium brake levers if I'm not careful!
I also have slick racing tyres, so any patch of ice results in a fall :S
I do however enjoy what little countryside I cycle through when its all frosted over. And theres nothing better than when its freezing cold outside and you're warm inside fragging some hapless individual in counterstrike.
Ahhh, good times.
Exactly nothing good about the winter... even snowball fights are no good anymore (Health & Safety Reasons) Spring's the best Season.
Poll open on this...

Biking in winter is great, up at the crack of dawn, frost everywhere, blue skies, low sun - breakfast with lots of coffee, then hitting the trails with the morning sun melting the ice and the air piercingly fresh 8)

Thats all fine until the ice turns to slush and your bike gets covered in crap. And its not just regular crap, this is bike killing, oily, icy, mud with extra rocksalt from the gritters.
Winter has the best and worst cycling in my opinion.
Overall though I like the winter, see the What season is your favourite (http://www.aria.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=3178)thread.
Man was on my way to Aria to pick my pc up this morning and it was realllllly foggy.
Cold night aswell last night :-(

Dont throw hot water on your car!
My dad did that last year and shattered the windscreen!
I use a special product called "Anti-fog". Use it on the inside and you dont fog up. Great for a convertible like mine8)

We always do it and nothing like that happens to us.

I was thinking the same thing. Hot water on ice-cold glass is bad! Using cooler water will just refreeze.
You can get good de-icing sprays, thats a safer option I reckon:idea:
See some people boil a kettle and pour it straight on the glass - thats asking for it http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/nervous.gif
I fill my kettle with hot tap water (kettle most appropriate water transport method - uneducated passers by think i'm pouring hot kettle water on  lol)
Then pour the water on the metal of car so it runs down onto the glass.
WINNER http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/food-smiley-005.gif
Done and deiced in 30 seconds vs 10 minutes sat in car with ignition on vs spraying copious amounts of deicer which only refreezes once you strart driving.
Ive seen many a windscreen shatter when cold glass is combined with hot water.. and if it doesnt shater, it just cools down quick and then becomes extra think ice.
lol love the smiliey

One of the tricks is to put your heating on full and direct it at the windscreen. This will mitigate the amount of refreeze you get.
The hot air is also better at clearing condensation and preventing it from reforming. Water wont condense on warm things; unless its really humid!
Yeah once the warm tap water pour is complete, i hop in car and whack windscreen blowers on full heat. The golf heating kicks in under a minute and i'm off http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/idea.gif
or if you wanted to save energy and petrol and help towards this Eco crap then you could always put your mouth next to the ice and blow onto it and melt the ice lol. But then by the time you finished one side and go to do the next side its reiced again probley.
I should also think the moisture in your breath would add more ice!
I have seen people put newspaper on their windscreens, but I can imagine that just becoming frozen to the windscreen

lol depends if your chewing on Extra's Cool chewing gum
I wonder if you ate chilli beforehand would it increase your ice melting abilities? I still dont think you could get your breath hot enough to make it an effective substitute for de-icer. Unless you are a fire breather, in whichcase, carry on...
Ahhhhhhh that reminds me, my technique last year I got a large piece of bubble wrap windscreen size it was double layered so didn't blow about and i'd put it under my windscreen wipers left on half way. Morning = ice free windscreen http://209.85.62.25/6386/65/emo/thumbsup.gif
edit - my bad wrong smily! lol
Ew, that smilie! Why would you bust knuckle-babies over your windscreen? Thats some bizarre de-icing method if you ask me
EDIT: Hah! Mistakenly posting that smiley, priceless.
However, I can imagine bubble-wrap doing a good job of keeping your screen ice free. Although nothings going to stop a hard frost is it?

lol.
How about getting a deodorant can, stick a match infront of it, light it then spray the deodorant onto the ice and there you go, home made deicer lol
oh bloody hell........ seriously? is that supposed to be funny?
edit - there was a post above this that got deleted... ;)
Oh look, another bloody fish ^^
I wonder if his account is secure..?
