Any football fans here, wanna start some banter?

Thought i would try and get some good discussion going! Any crap i'll remove.

Myself i am an Ipswich Town supporter, and feel our season has potiental if we can sort out our away form.

Home form has been excellent so far, and we have played some decent football, but away from home we seem to be losing focus towards the end or letting our heads drop once we conceed. And its costing us points.

Who you support?

Hmmmm..... i dont really support anyone but if i had to id have to pick Man U saying i live here so might aswell support them.

Why not join a Fantasy Site and start an Aria League :P

Like a mini comp (maybe Aria could do this as a proper competition with prizes one day)

I'm from Oldham so keep an eye on how they do. Recently they were bottom of the league, below even Leeds who started on -15 points!

Could be interesting, but really need more decent members on this forum before anything can be started.

Already had to remove one post from this thread due to it being crap tbh.

If you dont like football why enter a football thread then post saying you dont like it.

Man Utd, does anyone believe the hype that referee's are biased towards them due to the fact there a big club?

I agree, but if Aria did do a competition on this and have some GOOD prizes and advertised the competition in the Header of the home page in rotation with the others then it could work out good.

5th Last Year 8)

Spurs have a decent team, with some real class. But i feel the player they miss is a Defensive Midfielder, someone to get there foot in.

Jermaine Jenas is S*** :x

England v Estonia preview
Posted: Oct 9th 2007 by Lachlan McKenzie

England resume their Euro 2008 qualification campaign on Saturday with what should be a straight forward task at home to Estonia. Steve McClaren successfully negotiated two tricky home ties against Israel and Russia in September, beating both sides by an identical 3-0 score-line. The Three Lions should be capable of another comfortable victory against the tiny Baltic Republic, having already beaten them in Tallinn, by the same score-line.

That defeat spelled the end for Estonia coach, Jelle Goes, replaced by 60 year old Dane, Viggo Jensen. Jensen has at least got four points on the board courtesy of a home victory over Andorra - the only team below them in Group E - and a draw in their last game, away to Macedonia. The Estonians will no doubt enjoy the experience of playing at the new Wembley; this fixture captured the public?s imagination ever since the schedule was announced.

The Three Lions will be without several key players through injury such as David Beckham, Andy Johnson, Owen Hargreaves, Emile Heskey; while McClaren may rest those recently returned from the treatment room including Michael Owen and Frank Lampard, and those players who are one yellow card away from suspension i.e. Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand and John Terry. It is however, almost impossible to build a case for anything other than a very one-sided encounter, in England?s favour.

Estonia?s last away win was in October 2005 against Luxembourg, and they have no history of upsetting an established national away from home. Tim Carter, is Sunderland and Estonia?s goalkeeping coach, giving him a unique perspective on the game. ?England could lose another 100 to injury and still have a squad bigger than ours?. The hardest task will probably fall to inexperienced goalkeeper, Sergei Pareiko - normally third choice or worse - who looks likely to play unless ex-Sunderland cat, Mart Poom, recovers from a back problem.

The only possible mitigation against the argument for an England win would be founded on Macedonia?s success in frustrating Steve McLaren?s side at Old Trafford, around the same time last year. However, given England?s recent form a repeat result would be an even greater shock. Asian Handicap specialists,

Belso prediction: 3-0 England.

Goals: Owen / Lampard (2)

thread goes back on topic shocker

3-0 sounds about right, not sure Lampard will start though not really done anything to justify getting a place back in the team barry did really well in the last couple of games as did heskey :? but injury to him means Rooney back in the team dont think him and owen is a good partnership either but still to strong for estonia at home the big test is weds against Russia

Belso

I see England struggling to break them down to start with, and maybe an Owen girl on the stroke of half time to give England the lead.

Then on 60 minutes Mclaren to play with the side and throw Lamps back on, to see him score a couple towards the end.

Well to be honest i prefer the football team Ipswich and do really think that Liverpool have signed some real crap this summer...
I did notice that ipswich had a unlucky game against Preston North End 2-1 to ipswich. should of been more!!
