Hi everyone,
I recently won the Thermalright HR-02 in a competition (http://forums.aria.co.uk/showthread.php?t=29937) on Aria. I've only just got back to the address that I asked for it to be delivered to, and you may remember that I promised a review and if I could use it, I would and if not, I'd sell it on here for P&P.
Now, I got to unboxing it and started taking photos but have sadly realised there is no AM2+/AM3 bracket for me to attach it to my motherboard. The other spare PC in my current house is AMD-based, so I unfortunately I'm not able to review this behemoth CPU cooler. Here it is (sitting on top of what is effectively a sheet of A5);

As a result I'm going to have to pass it on, as both my housemates have Prolimatech Megahalems so they don't need an upgraded CPU HSF.
This CPU HSF appears to be on pre-order for around £50, but I'm a man of my word and will let it go for P&P. Sadly I've opened the bags but everything appears to be present and correct, and there's even a small tube of untouched thermal paste. There is no fan with this, it's a passive HSF but you can add your own (there are fan clips in the box). I've had to buy some bubble wrap and for couriered DHL delivery I'd appreciate £10 bank transfer. I anticipate that this may be quite desirable and thus I feel it's unfair to let the first person to reply have it, so I intend to do a draw. If you enter, I will put your name on a list and use a random number generator (http://www.random.org/) to select a winner. Please read the rules below carefully.
Rules
By entering, you agree to pay P&P of £10 by bank transfer.
You also agree to not sell it on (at least here on Aria) for a profit! :knock:
There is no AMD bracket. :cop: DO NOT ENTER if you ONLY have an AMD PC :cop: - there appears to be compatibility with Socket 775/1156/1366 (http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/cpu/hr-02/product_cpu_hr-02.html) though.
If you would like to enter, please reply to this thread with the word "Interested" (preferably easy to see)
I would really like someone else to take over with what I promised to do, and produce a small review compared to their current HSF with a couple of photos and a few temperature measurements. If you agree to do a review, please add the word "Review" to your reply, and I will enter you twice.
Closing date will be tomorrow (Tuesday 7th September) at 8PM. If I haven't posted who the winner is by 9PM, can someone please PM me a reminder to do a draw? :p
If you add an annoying message to your post like "I never win anything" or "I don't intend to use it" etc., I reserve the right to withdraw your vote.
Sorry for the hard-a** approach, but hopefully most will see this as fair :thumb: Mods, if you feel this thread is better suited to the competition forum, feel free to move it.
Cheers and good luck!
