View Full Version : GTX 460 Price Cuts
http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/faith/nvidia-drops-the-price-of-gtx460-another-20/
Very nice :D
KitGuru originally predicted that the GTS450 cards would be in the £99 to £129 range – depending on clock speed and memory. If the GTX460 drops to £130 or less in the next week or so, then we have to say the £129 upper limit for the GTS450 is looking unlikely. It’s too close. No one would pay £129 for a GTS450 when they can have a GTX460 for the same money.
If the GTX460 drops to £130 that's a freaking steal.
Watching AMD/ATI be complacent makes me want to kill them.
GTX 460 = Win win.

hmm will these effect the 1GB EVGA ones anytime soon?

Dunno mate. We bought these before the price cut. Also there's always a premium to be paid for EVGA in general.
Oh my, I'm really gonna have no excuse not to buy one soon if the prices drop some.
Thats all good though, i might get another generic 768mb and SLI.

sign, i heard that this was possible but people had problems with that patch. that's why i went with the m4n82 deluxe 980a. would have got the m4a79t instead.
is the same thing possible but for running two ati cards on a sli board? if so that would be great for me.

problem is with newer drivers like 258'xx's or newer, patch still works with 257.15 an 257.21 then 197.xx an all earlier drivers upto 177.xx or so. 258.xx work but people experiencing black screens an glitching when running sli.
Looks like I'll be getting anothe MSI GTX460 1gig OC quicker than I thought.

lol think i will pass looks too complicated  planning on getting a second 5850 down the line anyway :p, hopefully ATi will wake up and realise they need to do some price cuts to keep up with Nvidia

only way you could have more than 2 in your rig and use them
evga sr2 2X 2sli. sli for each screen.
its only the 768MB versions but they are as low as £110 ! direct competition with the 5770.
i quite fancy one of these now :D get some gainward stock? they look the dogs
