Frets On Fire

Anybody here play frets on fire? You can download it here...

It's the Open Source version of Guitar Hero, but for the PC, and it owns :D. You can play whatever song you want as it's most likely been adapted for the game by the FoF commmunity. I found it quite hard at first as totally different from playing guitar (as you play a keyboard).

Would be great if we could get a few players for a competition on here.

Just like a dance mat but with your fingers.

There is a fret board

As the music plays notes appear as markers on the fret board. When the markers move to the bottom of the screen it means that particular note is about to be played. You must then press the correct key that corresponds to the fret the marker is on. Default fret keys are:

1 - GREEN - F1 Key.
2 - RED - F2 Key.
3 - YELLOW - F3 Key.
4 - BLUE - F4 Key.
5 - PURPLE - F5 Key.

The outcome is you either miss the note or strike the note.

As notes last for different length of time the length of the markers changes, and you have to hold down the key that corresponds to that fret for the length of the marker.

Ohhhhh, i still have one of them dancemats somwhere int he house for the PS1, they where cool when they first game out, but you will never see me on one ever again lol

i think this game sucks big time. its poor, buggy, crashes a lot, theres no guns, no one dies, no ludicrous gibs or anything ;)
