So here is the problem

I have a TP Link wireless N router with the latest firmware

Here is what happend:

Got router and everything was fine, used the WPS (QSS) push button thing to connect on my laptop and downstairs desktop.

All works great

A bit ago my laptop droped off the network, so i tried to connect and it said "Unable to connect to my network"

So i did some things on the internet that people said such as remove the saved network settings from network and sharing center

connected once again, but then dropped out

I then changed the SSID and wireless key

downstairs PC and Laptop wont connect

changed all settings back and still wont work, notice the Push Button connect is disabled in the settings of router, and if i enable it just goes back to off.

update firmware, still no joy

disable security, laptop connects.

enable, it cant connect.

Reset the router to factory settings, still wont connect

put in hard drive with old 7 install from a week ago, still wont connect.

So i now have 2 PC's that just stopped connecting, and the push button connect has stopped working

WTF is going on here!? Can anyone help?

Had a similar problem with my laptops, i had to change the security/encryption type to WPA-PSK with encryption TKIP from WPA2-PSK with AES.

That sorted it for me and never had any problems since.

Yeah test different encryption method some devices don't always play along together.

Tried changing the security and it didnt work, here is the weird thing though

after i tried my other hard drive i put my old one back in, and boom! the push button thing worked and everything is now fine with my laptop.

my downstairs desktop still cant connect. i think i might just re install it.
