We always have a traditional Sunday dinner.
Today it was Brisket, mash, yorkshire pudding ,carrots, broccoli and gravy with cheesecake for dessert.
Anyone else have something similar?

Over the weekend we eat the main meal (dinner) at lunch time and have a snack at tea time.
According to research its better as you don't sleep on a full stomach.

Is the lunch/dinner divide a regional thing? North versus south?
Lunch here was a smoked salmon sandwich and a glass of wine followed by coffee and figs that I just picked from our tree.
Dinner will be roast chicken and whatever comes fresh from the garden. Probably yet more runner beans and courgettes. I'll try to avoid even more figs.
yeah it is mate,
when i was in malia last year i spoke to some girls in our hotel about this.
most southerners call meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner - where as most nothern folk call them breakfast, dinner, tea

My mum's from the north of Scotland and its breakfast, dinner, tea there so that's what we go with. We live in Birmingham though.
Birmingham is like no-mans land, you can swing either way (north/south) hehe
Well apart from the desert we are having the same as llawwehttam lol
6 mins till i leave, so around 22 mins till pot noodle time :(
Get someone to boil the kettle for you :P
I had curry leftovers from last night yummmm.
But a Sunday cooked tea is soon to be making its way to my plate, once me and the misses can be arsed to get up and go round my house.
Not having a roast this weekend, but last weekend I had stuffed belly of pork with roast potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy. Was lush.
Id say I have a Sunday Roast Dinner (at about 6pm) 2/3 times a month.

Burmingum!
Sorry. :P
lol. Because my Mum is Scottish and my Dad grew up near London I have developed a rather strange accent. Definitely not brummy though.
Sunday is the only day of the week we have out main meal at the right time, between 12 and 1pm
Bill Brysons 'A history of private life' sheds some light on shifting meal times, changing from hearty breakfasts and midday meals to fuel the body, on to late afternoon/early evening heavy meals that just sit in the gut making us fat and useless.
Anyhoo, todays feast was skinless breasts of chicken, peas sweetcorn brocolli cauli french beans yorkshires parsnips and secret recipe awesome roast tatties. With about a yard of gravy :D

Our roast is just about done. Chicken today, roast potatoes, carrot and swede, broccoli, a tonne of gravy :D - think that's it. Cheesecake also in the fridge for desert.
Had a massive piece of Costco beef in the freezer for months now.... wish we would eat it one week -.-
