Afraid we'll need more details about what's inside your system...

Then we can start to see what's up.

I googled your problem and as i said in my above post you need to update the BIOS. If you go to the Asus help and support page download the latest BIOS update and also it should have a link on the page telling you how to update the BIOS.

Thanks

Micky, I think his problem is that he can't get the board to POST, so BIOS updates aren't his problem.

I assume you have tried different sata ports on the mobo and different sata cables? Maybe even a different sata power connector for the hard drive.

Does it boot with the sata dvd drive plugged in? If so try the hdd with the connections / cables that is using.

Sounds like a rodgered hdd to me, any chance you could try it in another, working, pc?

Does sound like it could be the PSU too - do you have access to spare parts???

Hi,

Did you try updating BIOS like i said?

Google ucode loading error and everyone is saying to update the BIOS and it works fine after that.

Thanks

As far as I know if the bios needs flashing the only way to do it is use a earlier core 2 duo cpu flash the bios and put the new cpu back in. Their could be a memory compatiablity problem with the DDR3 being so new. On a bios update last month was to improve compatiability with memory. Then there will some makes of memory that will just not work with the board.

An earlier post about my bro's pc as I believe its a simular problem needs a bios update.
