Ive got 4GB of RAM in my machine but ready another thread someone said you can only put 3GB in, i did a check and it only shows 3GB so do i need to take the other one out and flog it then? I have a ASUS P5B Deluxe Mobo which has 4 memory slots.

Vista/xp can only handle 3gb max because of the size of files, its built into x86 coding. x64 systems can handle upto 16gb or more.

You should break even if you have a good day, say shiz like theyve been used with memtest for like 8 hours and stuff to make it sell. Say used but mint condition and stuff. Shame you didnt know about the x86 cap.

I guess buying a 64-bit version of Windows in the future is out of the picture then?

Not sure of the price but it can wait, spent enough and the missus is now giving me grief, so next years project.
