Monday 'club' at the Pub

Yes I know its a daft name but it means only one thing......pints only cost me £1.20 :D
Just wondering if other people have these sorts of deals going on at thier locals.
We had the good old banter with the mates and the international drinking rules set up so that had to be followed.

to be honest i'm kinda over the pub scene.

Overpriced drinks, usually stink, queuing for said overpriced drinks, too many idiots out simply to get trashed and fight, did i mention overpriced drinks?

Back garden, cider over ice, couple of slabs of meat of the grill = win.

But then again I'm getting a bit old for the pub/club scene, there comes a time when all your mates have kids where you maybe get out for a few drinks every 3-4 months, rather than 3-4 times a week.

And do you know, for the reasons above, I don't miss the pub thing at all.

There is a relatively new pub near me which was doing pints for £1.60 when they opened. Dunno how much they are now though. I don't really drink. They do curry and a pint on Wednesday for something like £5, and there's another one nearby which does the same for £6.10 I think on Thursday.

As I said though, I don't really drink. Don't like the taste of alcohol, and hence I don't really know what's what at the bar. I'll drink cider, or vodka in something sweet, but that's it. Beer, lager and ale are all bwit.
