nVidia GeForce 9800 - now the names are starting repeat themselves...

My sources say that they will definitely be available for purchase 'by Christmas'.

who cares? the geforce 8 series is sufficient for now, 8800s will be in use for another year probably, nvidia should work on something revolutionary instead of just realeasing slightly faster chips every once in a while

The last properly revolutionary thing they did was add T'n'L to a TNT2 and call it a GeForce... But I bet you're not using a GeForce 256 GTS are you...

Although some could argue that the last revolutionary thing they did was add Shaders to a GFX card and call it a GeForce FX (but they stunk and got battered by ATi)

Some would even argue that the Physics chip on the 8000 series is pretty revolutionary too - although I can't tell you about any games that use it...

It'll support DX10.1 and (like all nVidia releases) will cost around £500 on launch and should be twice as quick as a single 8800 GTX...

Crikey I've not long had a 7600GT and I'm happy with that :)
