So I'm looking for a medium range graphics card both in price (budget would be around £150) and performance and have decided on this card. Is that the right choice? Also how many power connectors does it need as the 460 version takes 2 6-pin connectors which I thought was mental?!
Cheers,
Dan

The GTX 460 is totally worth it.
It outperforms the GTX 260 by quite a lot and supports DirectX 11.
2x 6-Pin connectors isn't a lot.
If you only want a single 6-Pin card then the HD 5770 is probably your best bet.

The GTX260 also runs 2 x 6pin PCIE connectors.
From a GTX260 owner if you have £150 get a GTX460 (http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/Palit+GeForce+GTX+460+768MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+%2B+Just+Cause+2+%26+Starcra ft+II+Trial+?productId=40860) at >£145 is a bargain

the gtx 260 is probably the worst value card out there :/
460 or 5770 :) if you got a crossfire board i would get the 5770, if you got an sli board then 460, if both, then 460 :P
Yep go with a GTX 460 mate:

if i had an SLI board i would definately have two GTX460's by now there amazing!
I could sell you my gtx280 for £130 hehehe
BFG GTX280OC
the voltage tweaks on the msi cards make them hard to overlook imo, up the v a little and you have 5850 levels of performance and £50 notes in your back pocket too :thumb:

OK so the 460 it is then! :D That means I will need a new power supply as it doesn't have enough connectors or juice for that matter! Anyone direct me to a good PSU?
Cheers,
Dan

What PSU have you got?
It comes with a 6-Pin to Molex adapter (The GTX 460)
I'd recommend Corsair power supplies though.
I have a 260, cracking card, plays everything on max.
I'd still swap it with you for your 460 though :D

I have the xfx 650W modular PSU and highly recommend it. TBF any corsair or xfx psu of 650W or more will be plenty.
