The messed up world

Well,

I thought i'd make this post because its the sad truth

The world has become really really messed up. Kids shooting / stabbing eachother? what is that all about? i remember about 3 years ago, there was near none of this. And now kids just keep getting shot and stabbed. Friendly fire in Iraq, how terrible. The greece fires, 70 people died. The world isnt a very nice place at the moment with lots of thugs and crimes.

I'm not so sure it's getting worse - just that as we get older we pay more attention to the news and notice what's going on more...

We've not had anything as bad as the Cuban Missile Crisis for a while - so I guess things are politically more stable now than ever.

We also seem to want to look for someone to blame - so we make out that it's worse now than it always was.

The argument about people in the 40s leaving their houses unlocked can be easily explained - they didn't have 50\" Plasma TVs or Playstation 3s - they just had the risk of being bombed by the luftwaffe...

I understand what you're saying and it's good that you've had an spiphany that the world isn't all sugarplums, roses and love - the hippies were brought down by conformity and then the 80s happened - but I don't think that the worls as whole is getting any worse... I can prove in many ways - I'm not saying that everything's fine either - as a race we are, indeed, just a virus with shoes.
