tomorrow Dad's got me a new graphics card coming, or has he?

I think he will have a 9800 that is coming tomorrow leaving me and my brother to try to get dad to give us the best one of two.

I think he has brought http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/Nvidia+9000+Series/Palit+GeForce+9500+GT+1024MB+DDR2+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=37143

which is faster, that one of the 9600 I had before which is a green edition but hsa 512megabyte and the new one has 1 gigabyte.

I play Lego type cards and have just brought batman lego and a racng game called grid.

if i ask dad first, which one should I get? more memory sounds better but its a lower number

The 9600 is significantly faster than the 9500. Stick with what you've got :thumb:

thank you - I can just ask for my old card back now Dad has a 9800 coming as his fast one is broken - he stole it and I had to use the graphics on the motherboard but it wont play my new game grid racing

if its a 9800GT with 1gb of memory it should perform better than your existing 9600 :)

he's NOT getting the 9800, that's my stop gap until my 260 returns :lol:

It can then go sit in a machine in the office, Folding away for TPR :)

my 9600 is back - drivers installing

so close to being able to play race driver grid :D

and 2 hours later I kick him off his computer and he comes downstairs and plays on the WII <sighs>
