Howdy,

Can anyone recommend a decent PCI-E graphics card that will cope with 2x 24\" TFT monitors each at 1920x1200? DVI is preferred.

Main use is for graphics and web development (Photoshop, Flash, etc), but capability to run some recent games would be nice (doesn't have to be too fancy). I'm looking for something sub-£100, but i will pay over if necessary.

Many thanks in advance
Rich

Firstly, Welcome To Aria Forums ! 8)

And The BEst Pci-e Card for 2 x 24\" Monitors?

Well, A Nvidia 8600GTS is a good Budget One.

But Of Course, you Can get Ones For £300+ Which Are Better.

But I Dont Think Its Worth the Money.

Thanks :)

This one looks like it might do me:

My only concern is this line:

\"Single dual-link DVI outputs support 3840 x 2400 at 30Hz resolution displays\"

Is this referring to using dual-dvi setup for a single monitor only like the DEll 30\" needs? ie. If i have the 2 monitors, will i be able to have each monitor at 1920x1200 (3840x1200 total desktop) @ 60Hz or above? And would this be the case in either horizontal span or dual-view modes?

Apologies for the dumb questions, i'm a little lacking on the technical side here :)

Thanks[/url]

I'm not entirely sure, but I would assume that it means that it is an option to us the card like that - id be very surprised if you couldnt do dual monitors with it!

Plus, I quite like this feature..

ASUS GameFace Messenger: - Easy instant massager and live game conference in any PC games

Nice face massage during gaming.. ;)

Precisely. You'd be an idiot to do that.

8800GTS 640MB, 8800GTX/Ultra or Radeon HD 2900XT. They're your only choices, period. No other cards will provide even remotely playable framerates.

Well, i don't know about being an idiot :) I wouldn't be playing the games at 1920x1200, i'd run a lower res, to whatever gave me the best performance. My current card was dirt cheap, a proper budget one, and i play R6Vegas comfortably at 800x600 on my current 22\" monitor. Granted, the graphics aren't sharp, but more than playable for me :)

Anyway, as i mentioned, the main use for this card is for graphics and web design, so i wont be needing to play games at full res with all settings to max. I reckon the card i mentioned above will give me similar or better performance games-wise than my current card, and definately suits my main needs, so think i will be going for that one.

Thanks to all who've replied :)
Cheers
