250GB Samsung Spinpoint SATA2 Hardrive

PS: Might Be Getting A E6600 For X-mas.
Cheers, And dont Forget
ARIA ROCKS !
You won't be playing anything on full detail, but it's not bad for a budget gamer's system.
If you do get the E6600 for Xmas that'd be great, though I'd recommend upgrading your graphics card instead; CPUs are less important than a good graphics card when it comes to modern games.

I have to agree, get a better graphics card and then get a better CPU.
Thanks

Agreed, though fair play if you bought and paid for it yourself.
Damn, Ive only just got rid of my old 7100GS GPU and got this new 8600GT one.
Ive only had it, 3 months.
What would you say to me Putting 2 of these 8600GT's in an Abit IL9 Chipset ?
Would that be better than getting a E6600 ?
Cheers for your replys !
just get a 8800GTX.
Should be good
Yeah forget the E6600 and the second 8600gt.
Your games are going to be bottlenecked -
get a 8800GTX :)

Like I Said. Im on A Tight Budget.. Are You Gonna Give Me The £350 For a 8800GTX, this being my Second Graphics Card In 3 Months.... Didn't Think So !!!!!
How on earth do you expect me to afford that when im on £30 a week & having sence, saving for the future ?
Be Realistic People !
Well, if your on vista, i dont reccomend sli, but if your on xp, then the second 8600GT might be a better option to get improved capabilities on a tight budget.

So.
Should I Get An Abit IL9 & Another 8600GT
or
An Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 ?
unless your running vista donot get another 8600, even if you are i would suggest selling the 8600 and getting a 1950pro, ok its not dx10 but its more powerful in games and lets face it there isn't much around that makes a lot of use of dx10 at the moment.

Cheers For Your Reply.
But Im thinking of getting a Abit IL9 And Still The E6600 For X-mas.
.. Then Afterwards, getting a 2nd 8600GT.
My Secound Question now Then is:
Which is Better.
Patriot 2GB PC2-6400 (800Mhz) (1GB x2)
or
Patriot 4GB PC2-5300 (667Mhz) (1GB x4)
Cheers !!!
Hmmmm you buying your memory from Aria because if you are you sure its 4x1GB as iv just looked an i can only see 2x2GB.
Also it depends on what your using your PC for.

Thanks for your concern, but i already have 2x1GB Sticks, And After Upgrading to an Abit IL9, i will have 4 slots, and a maximum of 4 Gig.
So it seems silly to get rid of my ram, just so i can have 2X2GB, when i could have 4x1GB for Cheaper.
...Secondly, im using it for gaming. So, Whats the best ?

have any of you guys actually used an 8600GT? I manage fine playing all my games at max res/detail/shine, an 8800GTX is overkill in my opinion, just a ***** extension, although definitely more future proof than the 8600
as for the CPU, wait for the new AMD Phenom 64 X4 chips, they supposedly make the C2D look like a pocket calculator, and anyway AMD have more stylish stickers for your case :P
And RAM, if you are running Vista then 4GB is probably a good idea, get DDR2 800 or higher though, my RAM scores 5.9 in vista and its DDR2 800, that said, your apps will never see 4GB on a 32-bit system
And one more thing, I remember that the 7800GTX or whatever it goes by is slightly more powerful than an 8600GT and probably not too much more expensive, although I dont think its DX10

If i was you i would just use the memory you have and stick them as Dual and instead if more memory id upgrade the motherboard and get a better one.
Thanks

How do i delete threads ?
You need to press this button on the right hand side of your topic at the first post. http://www.aria.co.uk/forums/templates/ariaSubSilver/images/lang_english/icon_delete.gif
But i think you can only do it to your last post.
Thanks
There isn't one ![/quote:d15ef74144]
well i did say [quote]But i think you can only do it to your last post.
so you can not delete it, ask a Mod to delete the topic, but from now on keep everything in this topic regarding your motherboard questions.
Why delete it?
It has some good info here! and a lot of hard work put in by the regulars 8)
lol, he wanted to delete his other 2 topics about the same thing as me and perl said to him why didnt you just post it all in 1 topic istead of having aload of topics about the same thing. Anyway PMed Perl to delete his other topics so all sorted
