Hey im new to building cmputers and was wondering if all this would work together.
Case: CoolermasterAmmo 533 Blk/Sil £ 49.35
rear case fan: Generic Case Fan 8cm £ 1.12
PSU: Xilence ATX2.0 420w PSU £ 22.95
Motherboard: MSI PT890 Neo-V Socket 775 MOTHERBOARD £ 32.84
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 1.86GHz (775) £ 85.95
Graphics: Asus Extreme 8500GT 512MB Silent PCI-E £65.74
Memory: Corsair 2GB PC2-4200 Value Select (2x1GB) £ 52.58
Hard drive: 160GB IBM-Hitachi SATA £ 34.02 (already got an external 160gb at home)
DVD drive: NEC AD-7170A-0B 18x DVDRW DL Black £ 17.97
Keyboard: Generic Black and Silver Keyboard £ 3.35
Mouse: X-Pro Black & Silver 3 Button £ 6.46

Is that all compatible? and are there any cheaper alternatives?
Thanks in advance!

The Core 2 Duo you have picked is 1333MHz FSB, but the board only supports 1066MHz. Get a board that supports 1333MHz FSB or a 1066MHz FSB processor such as the E6300, E6600 or E6700. The former being the chepest.
Ok thanks ive changed the processor now!was that the only thing that didnt fit? I am also considering changing the hard drive to an 80GB one to shave of a few more pounds but im not sure whether it is worth it and if i need a 160GB one.
Paddy
I'd stick with your 160GB - the amount saved by halving the hard disk capacity isn't justified - you'll just buy a larger one in future anyway - it's literally inevitable.
That's the only fault I saw with your setup, yesh. If you've picked a 1066MHz FSB processor, you're good to go. =)
tbh i would go for a E4300 or E4000 processor. The multiplier is 9 on those opposed to 7 on the E6320. Not sure if the extra 2mb cache makes much of a difference
Yeah the E4400 is a good choice if you're an overclocker, of if you're interested in saving cash, as you seem to be.

buying a generic power supply is generally a mistake
Definately agree with the psu comment, spend a few ££ more and get a baby branded psu
This would be infinately better

or if you really can't stretch to a quality psu this is a mid range branded one.

Stick with the 1333 chip and get yourself an ip35 chipset

on special at £64ish ex vat :)
Its a winning board
Thanks guys! i would change the cpu to a e4400 but wouldnt that make it nesscery to change the motherboard as well?
Paddy
It's the same socket with 2mb less cache and 800mhz fsb instead of 1066mhz fsb so the mobo should be fine. You could even go up to the E4500 (2.2GHz) and its still cheaper than the E6320 (1.8GHz).
Just post a final list up here of everything you're going to buy.
Ok thanks for that! Looks like the setup i am going to buy is
