Good job you don't work there then.

I don't think we'll see a real shift in numbers (tens of millions) until the 3rd generation of Tablets/Pads.

Ideally they need to have a phone in them, i imagine that most would use a hands free system with them so your not talking into a brick.

Also a decent Camera, Dualcore CPU, 1GB RAM and Windows 7 Starter.

Also a 7" is sufficient i think. Plenty to watch films on or even do a little bit of Office 2007.

As much as i dislike Apple, they are rather innovative.

Is that 'FaceTime' innovative ?

Explain please.

I mean their products.

They are pretty much first for most things.

Thats what they're toting as a feature of their iPhone that apparently changes everything [video calling] - although we've had the feature for some years now.

Fair enough.

Are people using this feature?

there will be a massive influx of tablets from 5 to 12 inches although really only the 7 and the 10 inch ones will sell in any numbers the 5 is too near to a phone and the 12 will have restricted screen or terrible battery life..

You dont need a laptop and a Tablet, one replaces the other and the tablet wins that fight hands down.
Once the AMOLED screen is made in tablet sizes movies will be great on a 1080 tablet.

The IPad is very nice but expensive and the screen isnt as good as it could be and a lot of people just hate apple and I see this Samsung one as the prominent rival due to the fact they are pioneering the screen technology and lead the way in such things..

I rooted through my old tech draw and in the dust at the bottom i found a 6 year old Three mobile which was the first forward facing camera phone in the UK funnily enough i only ever made one video call as you cant walk around with your phone on loudspeaker at arms length shouting at your phone to have a video call in public.. maybe i wasnt holding it right..

Have to admit typing on an iphone is much better than my HTC Desire but thats the only thing I miss.

I sold my piephone as everyone has them. Its like Polish people in london, friggin everywhere. Just got bored and wanted something different again.

Have been looking at the Galaxy S though as thats meant to have the best typing screen of all of the Andoid phones.... Not sure I can wait till the Desire HD is out in November (always buy simfree ;) )

ther are 30000 polish people in blackpool a town with a 140000 population .. the women are fit so who cares :D

The galaxy is a good phone but i would never get a phone the slide out keyboard they seem to me to be half way to a smartphone for people who struggle with a touch screen keyboard. the keyboard makes the phone much thicker and then it isnt as good looking.

If your planning on buying one up front sim free then you can get a whole host of MUCH better phones from America..

the droid -X is the best android phone this week
the HTC incredible and EVO are brilliant
The droid 2 is good but has slide out keyboard so is too thick for my shirt pocket

Its a real shame the motorolas dont get sold in the UK

Microsoft have had tablets out for years. Apple are just capitalising on their image of being "cool" to drive sales
