And your price is extremely steep for such a system - one could build a vastly superior system for literally half that price.

I was aiming that price at people who dont really know much about building computers, so they have one ready built and installed.

So the price is to steep, how much would you say is a decent price, baring on mind the computer is less the one year old.

Well considering I could build this system:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E2140: £50~
Motherboard: Abit IP35-E (Socket 775): £70~
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 2600XT: £65~
Memory: 2GB DDR2 GeIL PC2-6400 800MHz 4-4-4-12 Kit: £70~
Hard Disk: 500GB Western Digital Caviar SE16 SATA2: £60~
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium: £65~
PSU: Hiper Type-R 580W ATX2.2 PSU: £50~

Optional Monitor: 19\" Widescreen TFT (Decent Brand): £120~

For roughly £430 (or £550 if you need the monitor) and be assured of a certain degree of future proofing (a modern, Dual-core CPU, 2GB of fast DDR2 memory, DirectX 10 PCI-e graphics, a large disk, a motherboard based on Intel's newest chipset [P35], Microsoft's Windows Vista and an SLI/Crossfire certified PSU).

I could even spend a whopping £150 on a diamond-encrusted case (obviously not, but you see my point) and still not exceed the £700 asking price of your system. Obviously my system would run rings around yours in any scenario you care to suggest (except maybe graphics?) and would last a good deal longer, offering vastly superior value.

This is the thing about PCs. Unless you can find a complete fool, older systems are a hard sell when you make a quick visit to a couple of PC technology vendor's websites. I just had a quick look on a couple of my favourites to come up with the above system - one could do far better than I have done, I have no doubt, this was just to illustrate the point that the asking price may be a little high.

OK, I understand were your coming from, maybe if i put it on ebay some dohnut will pay a high price for it. but you forgot to include the computer itself, that cost me £400 and that had nothing it it lol, just the basics, i had to buy all that other crap, and when i look on the site today its only gone down to £300

so £300 plus the gfx, cpu, ect ect would cost more that £450 - 500

If the customer really wanted a small form factor or HTPC case I'd recommend the Antec Fusion, not some naff Shuttle thing. I'd just have to switch the motherboard for an m-ATX one, and remove the power supply I chose (as one is provided with the Antec case)

Antec Fusion = £120~ and is a damn fine case with excellent build quality and a strong PSU. It even comes with cooling fans and is basically silent.

Still cheaper than yours :P

I mean seriously, which would you pick? You're right when you say eBay is your best choice, or maybe a local paper or classified advertisment?

Hehe no one is going to buy it off eBay either mate. There's people selling better systems for much less. Plus you'll probably get scammed by some guy from Nigeria, and on top of that if you DO sell it for a lot the eBay fee's will be massive as well.
