View Full Version : Laptop
I've decided to get my girlfriend a laptop because i can.
Right it will be used for the following:
1) Watching DVD's
2.) Downloading Music & Video's
3.) MSN
4.) USB Ports needed for camera, phone ect. . .
5.) College Work
6.) Good battery (but not essential)
7.) Lightweight (but not essential)
Basically a basic thing, nothing to special.
Must have's
512mb Memory +
40GB HDD+
PCMIA Slot
2 USB ports +
Cheaper the better. 8)

Never knew laptops were some ****ing cheap. Can it be rivaled? :o
Not without posting links to other sites ;)
My advice? Avoid the Core Duo chips.
(Before I get flamed, I said Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo)
But I suppose it won't matter anyway for her uses. Good price too. :D

Core 2 Duo has several architecture differences, support newer chipsets and yield faster performance across the board when compared to the Core Duo.
