I've just read this article on the Sky News Website and it has to be said it's eerily close to the beginning of what happened in the movie 'Day After Tomorrow'...

Its not new stuff really, weather cycles go round and round over decades, centuries, millenia etc, sure global warming increases from man dont help but its not the weather disasters that worry me, its mans other impacts on the planet that are seeing us career towards a tipping point sooner than people will give credit for.

If money was no object, id be buying a 300 acre farm to live off and sinking storage chambers for water and diesel, enough water 20 years or so, pending any global catasprophe. I figure 20 years would be enough to see off the weak and chaff, population decimation ready for a restart :)
