Hi Guys,
We have setup a league at PremierLeague.Com for a whole season long competition. The Aria staff are involved in this too! :thumb:
As this competition is a year long, we are giving away three substantial prizes to the top three teams at the end of the season.
1st - £500 Credit Note
2nd - £250 Credit Note
3rd - £100 Credit Note
This prize can only be spent at Aria.

To enter, please read the following:
STEP 1 - If you don't have an account at that site, click here (http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/register.mc) to sign up. It's simple!
STEP 2 - Create your team!
STEP 3 - Once setup, click "Manage Leagues" on the right bar under "Leagues".
STEP 4 - From there, choose the second tab called "Create/Join" and you'll see a "Join a private league" box.

Correct it is fantasy football, so you pick real players and they receive points based on their real life performances.
Once started the only thing you need to do is make transfers/formation changes if you wish.

To change the formation remove one player and put another in from a different position.
for example to go from 442 to 433 you remove a midfielder and put on a forward.
Usually forwards and mids will score more points than defenders so I usually play 343, so the formation can be everything to a teams performance.

If the players in the first 11 do not play for any reason the game will automatically substitute them out for a sub (using your order of priority) as long as doing so doesnt break the formation rules - ie minimum of 3 defs).

pick your team for the value you have, everyone has 100pts to spend on players,
2x GK
5x def
5x mid
3x fw
you get scored based on the real life performance of the matches and games.
your subs dont add to the points unless one of your players in the subs respective position comes off.
it is a good strategy to pick players from the starting 11 of their teams.
they get points for not conceeding goals, bonuses assists, scoring goals, lasting the whole 90mins.
they lose points for not playing whole 90mins, conceeding goals, yellow and red cards etc.
they lose points for not playing whole 90mins, conceeding goals, yellow and red cards etc.
close - they dont lose points for not playing the whole 90 minutes - you get 2 bonus points for playing more than 60 mins or none if you play less than that - but you dont lose any points.
Full points breakdown is
Action Points
For playing in a game 1
For playing at least 60 minutes in a game (includes playing points mentioned above) 2
For each goal scored by your goalkeeper or defenders 6
For each goal scored by your midfielders 5
For each goal scored by your forwards 4

My total captain points from the 2 games is 0! I had Joe Cole in the first game who got sent off and Nani in the second who only played about 20 minutes and missed a penalty, at least he got an assist otherwise I would still be negative on Captains.

You don't get a double transfere because of the weekend break, you get 1 free transfere forevery game week. Sometimes you get 2 game weeks in every week, sometimes you get 1 game week every 2 weeks.
you get 1 wildcard transfer too which costs nothing ;)

With your wild card you can replace all your players without having a 4 point deduction. The wild card is available until the transfere window closes just before the weeks games are about to start and you can no longer edit your team.

same here, I bought carroll and scholes and I also would put my life on the pair having shockers for the rest of the season.
A lot the players I bought were out injured for first games, doing really well I don't think. :o

There is no cutoff and you will be a bit behind - but only about 4 game weeks - plenty of time to catch up if you pick good players.
I'm just playing for the crack, not really into football. :p

I've got him too. They're due to bounce back, just remember that at the start of the season they were scoring for fun, I think it's just a matter of time before they kick back into gear.
nft99 is definitely my nemesis. Bossing all the other leagues I am in, but No.1 in our league is a top performer.

Well as a kid I used to - but although a lot of it was to do with snow covered pitches, it was also due to the health and safety aspect of people getting to the grounds.
