I'm running Android on my Aspire from a USB atm, it's pretty cool so far, do any of you run android? Any cool features?

Not tried it on a laptop yet, but now you suggest it I think i'll stick it on a USB stick and give it a whirl in my netbook.

I doubt I'd want to use it over a full-fat linux distro in the long term, however, netbooks are not mobile phones.

I was thinking when I want to check the net for something quickly, rather than waiting for XP to boot up, I'll just boot into Android. I'm going to install it to my SD card and see what the bootup time is. :D

I gave up installing it, it just wouldn't work so I'll just use it live if I want to use it.

I loaded android on my laptop earlier, was nice, but painful.

It would be nice with a touchscreen and a little messing about to get used to it.

It's the OS on my i5700 :)

Glad you didn't install it on the SD card though, they're amazingly slow. If you're looking for something that boots up in seconds then:

smart move by Oracle - or just luck?

When you takeover a company, part of due-diligence would be all patents. So I bet they did the takeover keeping sthum about what they had spotted and now look to make an easy prety penny if they win the case. Smart, very smart :)

But is that legal, as they didnt own the patents when it was 'infringed'?

How long you gotta wait for the ipad clone??? Thinking of getting this 1 http://android-hardware.com/index.php/tablet-pc/10-inch-lcd-mid-touchscreen.html

But trying to hold out till 1 comes with froyo on so got flash support outta the box.

its not here yet :(

the one you link to tystar is worrying, as there are no details about the CPU other than its 1gmhz and ive no idea what a gigamegahurt is.

I watched a lot of videos on you tube before deciding. Some of them has a 500 Mhz cpu and a 500 mhz gpu and were sold as 1ghz OR dual core which just isnt true.
